Dil Koçu Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Dil Koçu app or the web version at https://dilkocu.enestavlu.com. By creating an account or using Dil Koçu, you accept them. If you don't, please don't use Dil Koçu.

1. Who we are

Dil Koçu is offered by Enes Tavlu, an individual based in Türkiye, without a company. Contact: [email protected]

2. The service

Dil Koçu is an AI-assisted app for learning English. It gives you personal daily lessons, word review, reading and listening practice, feedback on your writing and speaking, live voice conversation, and a coach that answers your questions.

• Personal lessons are built every night at around 03:00 Turkish time. If a night's run fails, your lessons are built at the next run.
• Features may change, be added or be removed over time. I'll announce it in advance before removing a paid feature.
• I can't promise the service will never be interrupted. Maintenance, provider outages or network problems may make it unavailable now and then.

3. Minimum age

You must be at least 16 to use Dil Koçu. If you are 16 or 17, get a parent's approval before buying a subscription. I close accounts that I learn belong to someone under 16.

4. Your account

• You sign up and sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your e-mail. There is no password.
• Your account is personal. Don't share it, and don't sign up with someone else's e-mail address.
• Keep your e-mail account safe. Anyone who can read your e-mail can also get into your Dil Koçu account.
• If you think someone else is using your account, write to [email protected] right away.

5. Acceptable use

Use Dil Koçu only to learn English. Don't:

• insult the coach, or write, or try to get the coach to say, anything harassing, hateful, sexual, violent or illegal;
• try to get around the coach's safety rules (for example "ignore your rules", or sending harmful text as a "translate this" request);
• share other people's personal data. Don't share your own phone number, address or ID number either; the coach hides them anyway;
• use Dil Koçu to cheat in a real exam, or hand in the coach's writing as your own homework or exam answer;
• open several accounts, use bots or scripts, or bulk-download content to get around plan limits;
• attack, probe or reverse-engineer the app, the servers or other users;
• use a rude, offensive or impersonating name in the weekly league.

The coach checks messages with automatic rules. It may refuse a request, hide a reply or stop the lesson. If you mention self-harm, or that someone is hurting you, the lesson stops and you are shown where to get help.

6. AI feedback

• The coach is an AI, not a human teacher. Its answers, corrections, scores and level estimates can be wrong or incomplete.
• Scores and levels are estimates. They are not official IELTS or other exam results and don't replace them. Dil Koçu is not affiliated with any exam body.
• Dil Koçu doesn't give medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
• In an emergency, or if you feel unsafe, don't rely on the app. In the EU and in Türkiye, call 112.

7. Plans and limits

• There is a free plan and there are paid plans. What each plan includes and what it costs is shown in the app and in the store before you buy.
• Some features have daily, weekly or monthly limits in each plan, for example live talk minutes, questions to the coach, and writing and speaking reviews. The limits are shown in the app.
• Unused allowances don't carry over to the next period.
• Each plan also has a fair-use limit that protects against runaway AI costs. If you reach it, the affected features pause until the period resets; the rest of the app keeps working.
• If the app's overall daily budget runs out, some AI features may pause for the rest of that day.

8. Subscriptions and payment

• Paid plans are sold only through Google Play and the App Store. The store takes the payment; your card details never reach me.
• The price, including taxes, is shown in the store.
• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and the store charges your store account. To stop it renewing, cancel before the period ends. On the App Store you must cancel at least 24 hours before.
• You cancel in the subscriptions section of Google Play or the App Store. Deleting the app or your Dil Koçu account does not cancel the subscription.
• If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If I change the price, you'll be told in advance as the store's rules require.
• Withdrawal, refund and invoice requests go through the store you bought from: Google Play or Apple. This doesn't affect your statutory consumer rights.
• On iOS, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ . Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for maintaining or supporting Dil Koçu.

9. Content and rights

• The lessons, texts, pictures, audio, design and software in Dil Koçu belong to me or are licensed to me. You may use them for your own personal study. You may not copy, sell, publish or reuse them in another service.
• What you write and say stays yours. You allow me to process it only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Closing an account

• You can delete your account at any time: in the app at Ben (Me) → Ayarlar (Settings) → Hesap (Account) → "Hesabımı sil" (Delete my account), or on the web at https://dilkocu.enestavlu.com/delete-account/
• If you break these terms, I may suspend or close your account. For minor issues I'll warn you first. For serious or repeated breaches (for example attacks, harassment or abuse) I may close it without warning.
• If your account is closed because you broke these terms, any refund for the remaining subscription period is handled under the store's rules and the law.
• If I shut Dil Koçu down for good, I'll announce it at least 30 days in advance.

11. Liability

• I run Dil Koçu with care, but I can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
• As far as the law allows, and except for intent and gross negligence, I'm not liable for indirect losses (for example not getting the exam score you hoped for, or time lost because of a data loss). Your rights under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and any mandatory consumer law that applies to you are not affected.
• Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Governing law and disputes

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
• Consumers in Türkiye can apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees up to the legal monetary limits, and to the Consumer Courts above them.
• If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and your right to go to court there.

13. Changes

I may change these terms. I'll announce important changes in the app or by e-mail at least 15 days before they take effect. If you keep using Dil Koçu after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription. The current version is always at https://dilkocu.enestavlu.com/terms/
